"Thanks for the memories," went a line from one of the songs from my youth. With age, like it or not, your memory deteriorates. At 70, my short term memory has clearly slipped; long-term not so much although I've always been a forget-rather-than-file sort of person: what's not relevant for the immediate future, I've always tossed from my mind. That said, I've tried three popular supplements, and this seems to have had a beneficial effect both in short term recall and for what its worth, I dream more, and at length. One of the other supplements seemingly led to more dreams, but they'd be short and chaotic; AMS seems to also increase dreaming, but they are more ordered and linked to my daily life. I wouldn't say short-term recall is increased dramatically, but I feel better each time I remember why I went into a room, so to speak, and that is a good thing.
